TOPIC: Digital Transformation: What Your CxO Needs To Know

Every pundit and consultant on the planet is pushing “digital” as something you can buy your way into. But digital isn’t just about products or third party services; it’s about a fundamental transformation in the way your organization collaborates and operates. Everyone in the C-suite must be on board to enable true digital transformation and avoid common organizational mistakes. We’ll discuss fundamentals of what they need to know.

Jonathan Feldman is Chief Information Officer for the City of Asheville, North Carolina, where his business background and tendencies to seek out trouble have helped him to create positive change in government. Asheville is a rapidly growing and popular US city based on quality of life, natural beauty, and tourism.

During Jonathan’s leadership, the City has been recognized nationally and internationally (including the International Economic Development Council New Media Award, the InformationWeek Elite 100, and the Amazon “City on a Cloud” awards) for improving services to citizens and reducing expenses through cutting edge digital practices and technology.

Jonathan was named a top CIO to follow by the Huffington Post three years in a row, and was honored with Frost & Sullivan’s CIO Impact Award. He is a co-author of Code For America’s book, Beyond Transparency, enjoys coaching new and mid-career IT leaders, and tweets about digital leadership, business technology, and running at @_jfeldman.
